Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time today at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. today at the church, with burial in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church cemetery in Chackbay. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Melba O. Sanchez; son, Bradley Sanchez and wife, Miranda; daughters, Daisy S. Chiasson and husband, Hilton, Gloria S. Becnel and husband, Lewton, and Judy S. Andras and husband, Bobby; brother, Roger Sanchez; sister, Marie S. "Curlie" Ordoyne; seven grandchildren, Andrea S. Landry, Keith Chiasson, Angela C. Cortez, Hilton Chiasson III, Peggy B. Tabor, Shawn Becnel and Kevin Andras; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henrietta and Max "Mack" Sanchez; brothers, Raymond, Wilton and Maureen Sanchez; sisters, Maggie Cortez, Nora Hebert, Eve Scioneaux and Yvonne Tabor; and mother- and father-in-law, Lilly and Wallace Ordoyne. He served his country as a WWII veteran and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and will be dearly missed by all. The family would like to thank Dr. Chester Boudreaux and staff, as well as the staff of Thibodaux Regional Medical Center, Thibodaux Health Care and St. Catherine Hospice.
