Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst, Miss. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John Catholic Church, with burial on the family property. He is survived by his wife, Diana McCool Stewart; son, James Earlton Stewart of Hazlehurst, Miss.; daughter, Lesa Dawn Stewart Soileau of Houma; brothers, Roy Stewart of Pensacola, Fla., Walter Stewart of Hazlehurst, Miss., and Charlie Stewart of Atlanta, Ga.; sister, Amanda Stewart of Atlanta, Ga.; and grandchildren, Hunter Stewart, Madeleine Soileau, Jacques Soileau, Logan Stewart, and Layla Stewart. Mr. Stewart was a native of Cleveland, Miss., where he grew up and finished high school. He attended Mississippi Delta Jr. College before joining the Navy, where he served for four years. He worked at a funeral home for several years. Afterwards he was self-employed in pipeline installation and maintenance and other construction for the rest of his career. Mr. Stewart had lived in Hazlehurst, Miss., and operated his business there since 2003. He was always generous to people in need and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst, Miss., is in charge of arrangements. ======================
