Jane Marie Marcel Trahan, 81, a native and resident of Houma, died Sunday, 
April 14, 2013.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 
a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at First United Methodist Church. Funeral 
services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, 

with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence Paul Trahan, of Houma; daughters, Jana 
Hebert and husband, Derwin, of Houma, and Jacquelyn Moore, of Houma; 
grandchildren, Jena Sigur, Alex Hebert, Nicholas Hebert and Nicole Hebert 
Boudreaux and husband, Ryan; great-granddaughter, Addelai Boudreaux; brothers, 
Hayes Marcel Jr. and Edgar Marcel; and sisters, Shirley Hebert and Jeanette 
Corvin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hayes Marcel and Esther Matherne 
Marcel; grandchild, Mark Blanchard Jr.; and brother, Lionel Marcel.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church. 
She was a teacher for the Terrebonne Parish School Board for 30 years, retiring 
from Oakshire Elementary School. 

She loved taking care of her children and grandchildren.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
