Emily C. Adams, 97, a native of Kraemer and resident of Thibodaux, died Friday, 
May 31, 2013. She was born July 13, 1915.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Monday at St. Lawrence the 
Martyr Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at 
the church, 

with burial in St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Herbert Adams Jr. and wife, Cheryl, and Jimmy J. 
Adams; sister, Frances Martinez; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 
nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 70 years, Herbert Adams 
Sr.; parents, Frosin and Evelie L. Cortez; daughters, Dolores A. Landry, Helen 
A. Guidry and Shirley A. Rome; brothers, Frosin, Vincent, Victor, Alce, 
Ferdinand, Alcide, Edwin, Robert, Henry and Joseph Cortez; sisters, Louise 
Granier, Frozine Carrier and Marie Cortez; and grandson, Justin Guidry.

Emily will be greatly missed. 
She was a loving person and always took care of her family.

Thibodaux Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
