Rosedell Adams, 85, a native of Houma, and resident of Raceland, died Thursday, 
May 16, 2013.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Morning Star 
Baptist Church in Raceland. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at 
the church, 

with burial in Morning Star Baptist Church cemetery in Raceland.

She is survived by her sons, Daniel (Lynn) Adams Jr., Thomas Adams and James 
(Doris) Adams; daughters, Doris (Cyril) Bourda, Dianne Adams, Rosemary Brown, 
Sadie (Randolph) Fazande, Beverly Morgan and Debra Adams; brother, Clarence 
Scoby; sisters, Lillie Mae Morgan, Evelyn Jones, Betty Joseph and Earline 
Durkins; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Adams Sr.; parents, Thomas 
Scoby and Eliza Tolbert Scoby; daughters, Margie Adams, Lillie Mae Adams and 
Gail Gwendolyn Adams; brothers, Freddie and James Johnson and Earl Sr., Thomas 
and Calvin Scoby; and two sisters, Maggie Mathews and Alice Adams.

Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
