Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2013/f1305.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Nicholas Lee Allen, loving son and brother, 23, of Prairieville, departed this life Friday, May 17, 2013. He was born in Thibodaux, March 6, 1990, and spent his childhood years there. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at St. James Catholic Church in St. James. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. He is survived by his mother, Mary Lee Allee Allen; father and step-mother, Ronnie and Linda Allen; sister, Megan Allen Mayhew (Zeb III); brother, Jacob Allen; half-sisters, Renee Allen McCrory (Brant) and K. Cherron Allen Philippe (Devin); half-brother, Burch Allen; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts uncles and friends. Nicholas' love of life has been passed on by his gift of organ donation. He was able to witness this gift of life by having his grandfather receive both a heart and kidney transplant which extended his life by 15 years. Nicholas graduated from St. Amant High School. He was currently attending River Parishes Community College in Sorrento and working at Logan's. The family wishes to thank LOPA for their respect and care. The family wishes to express their gratitude to St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Gonzales, Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge and their neurosurgery staff who continued to fight for Nicholas' life when he had no fight left of his own. Thank you to the TNCC staff especially Dr. Horace Mitchell, Dr. Tomas Jacome, Jackie and Brittany for allowing Nick's final moments to be dignified. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Home of Grace, P.O. Box 5009, Vancleave, Miss. 39565 to help those struggling with substance addiction.
