Corine Toney Brown, a native of Thibodaux and a former resident of Kansas City, 
Mo., departed this life Monday, May 27, 2013, at the age of 95.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Moses Baptist 
Church in Thibodaux. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the 
church.

She is survived by her daughter, Marion Toney Ellis; grandson, Kevin A. Ellis; 
great-grandson, Anthony "Tony" M. McCormick; great-great-grandson, Anthony 
Lawrence McCormick; devoted cousins, Frances M. Paige and Clarence L. Brown; 
and a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Octavia Washington Lee; former 
husband, Roland A. Toney; long-time companion, Wilbert Lee, Sr.; second 
husband, Willie E. Brown; brother, Clarence Wilson; and son-in-law, Lawrence 
Ellis.

She was truly a kind and loving person and will be missed by all who knew and 
loved her.
She was a long-time member of Moses Baptist Church and of Second Baptist Church 
in Kansas City, Mo.

The family wishes to thank the staff of St. Joseph Hospice and Lafourche Home 
for the Aged for the loving care that was provided to their loved one.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
