Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Assumption Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in Assumption Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Ms. Paula Ordoyne, his special companion and sweetheart for the past 18 years. He is survived by his sons, Rick Cavalier and wife, Sue, Claude J. "C.J" Cavalier Jr., and wife, Betty, and Jeffery Cavalier and wife, Mary; daughters, Pam Cavalier and Roxanne C. Plaisance and husband, Chuck; siblings, Eva C. Dugas, Rosemary C. Perkins, Brenda C. Raffray, T-George Cavalier Jr., and Mary C. Scully; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Joyce Pinell Cavalier; grandson, Jeffery P. Cavalier Jr.; parents, George J. Cavalier Sr. and Lucille Templet Cavalier; brothers, Leo Caballero, George Cavalier Jr., and Gary F. Cavalier; and sisters, Adeline C. Landry and Pricilla Cavalier. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the American Diabetes Association, 400 Poydras St., Suite 1780, New Orleans, La. 70130 or to the Arthritis Foundation Southeast Region, 10 Corporate Hill Dr., Suite 340, Little Rock, Ark. 72205.
