Leona "Me Me" Garnett, 86, a native of Belle Rose and resident of 
Donaldsonville, died Sunday, May 26, 2013.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at Williams and Southall Funeral 
Home in Napoleonville, and from 10 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Greater 
Israel Baptist Church in Belle Rose. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. 
Saturday at the church, 

with burial in Greater Israel Baptist Church cemetery in Belle Rose.

She is survived by her sons, Charley (Denise), Norvin (Dinah), Wayne and 
Patrick (Bonnie) Garnett; daughters, Zeldia Johnson, Dorothy Robinson, 
Catherine Thompson, Roxie (Floyd) McGalliard and Donna Triche; 25 
grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Garnett Sr.; parents, Ellis 
and Dorothy Williams; brothers, Russel and Lionel Williams; sisters, Erma Reid 
and Ethel Banks; two grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville is in charge of 
arrangements.
