Darrell Lee Gibson, 57, a native and resident of Gibson, died Saturday, May 25, 
2013.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Jones Funeral Home 
in Houma, and from 11 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist 
Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, 

with burial in St. James Baptist Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his son, Jeremy Hall; daughters, Tishauka G. (Eric) Joseph, 
and Shawannaka and Lavisa Gibson; brothers, the Rev. Lawless Jr., Lloyd, Louis, 
Sterling (Catherine), Paul (Jackie), Robert and Clyde (Marie) Gibson, and 
Lenois (Ruth Ann) Celestine; sisters, Eloise (Alex) Cannon, Mary and Barbara 
Gibson, Ella Banks, and Carolyn (Royal) Peterson; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawless Sr. and Hazel Coleman Gibson; 
and brother, Wallace Bowens.

Jones Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
