Daisy Chiasson Ledet, born in Chackbay and a resident of Thibodaux, passed away 
Saturday, May 11, 2013, at the age of 85.

A visitation to honor her life will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Landry's 
Funeral Home in Thibodaux, and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at St. 
Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. 
Tuesday at the church, 

with burial in St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in cemetery Thibodaux.

She is survived by her daughter, Anne L. Cancienne and husband, Danny; brother, 
Camile J. Chiasson Jr.; two grandchildren, Dawn L. Stilling and Coby Cancienne; 
and two great grandchildren, Alyssa and Ian Gaudet.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Camile J. Chiasson Sr. and Inez 
Martinez Chiasson; husband, Lionel P. Ledet; son, Paul Ledet; an infant sister, 
Pearl Chiasson; and brother, Neddie N. Chiasson.

Daisy worked for the City of Thibodaux for many years as commissioner of Public 
Works. Daisy and Lionel were two of the founding members and very active 
members of the Krewe of Cleophas Carnival Club in Thibodaux.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be sent to St. Joseph 
Hospice, 103 Ridgefield Road, Thibodaux, La. 70301 or Hope For Animals in 
Thibodaux, P.O. Box 1341, Thibodaux, La. 70302.

Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
