Anthony "Tony" Plaisance, 83, a native of Gheens and resident of Raceland, died 
at 9:55 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Hilary 
Catholic Church in Mathews. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m 
Saturday at the church, 

with burial in St. Mary Cemetery in Raceland.

He is survived by his son, Nicki (Kimra) Plaisance; daughter, Brenda (Ron) 
Hunt; brother, Gilbert Plaisance; sisters, Velma Arabie, Esther Rodrigue and 
Elsie Matherne; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and 12 great-
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Plaisance; parents, Alexis and 
Amelia Dufrene Plaisance; brothers, Levi and Lenest Plaisance; and sisters, 
Vesta Badeaux, Earline Orgeron, Nezy Orgeron, Hazel Allemand, Clemence Falgout, 
Edith Plaisance, Lorena Dufrene and Edna Dufrene.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
