Cecile Pierron Prejean, 89, a native of Chauvin, and resident of Houma, died at 
2:30 a.m. Sunday, April 28, 2013.

A private graveside service was held in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

She is survived by her sons, Jon E. Prejean and wife, Sandi, Jace A. Prejean 
and wife, Carolyn, and Walt R. Prejean and wife, Nancy; daughter, Pam Guidry 
and husband, Dr. Bruce Guidry; grandchildren, Nancy Guidry Bernard, Scott 
Edward Guidry, Elisa Prejean Chauvin, Melanie Prejean Fontenot, Stacy Marie 
Prejean and Christopher Jon Prejean, Michael Stephen Prejean and Lauren 
Margaret Prejean; great-grandchildren, Caroline Amanda Bernard, Sarah Catherine 
Bernard, James Edward Guidry, Colleen Scott Guidry, Eileen Elizabeth Fontenot, 
Spencer Wayne Fontenot and Aiden Christopher Prejean; and brother, Ray Pierron.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter John Prejean; granddaughter, 
Amanda Catherine Guidry; parents, Arthur Albert Pierron and Marguerite Chauvin 
Pierron; brothers, Roy, Wilbur and Richard Pierron; and sister, Helen Pierron 
Waguespack.

She was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church and the owner of 
Ceil's Kitchen, Inc. She was a member of The Homemakers Club and the Class of 
'42.
The family wishes to thank the physicians at Family Doctor Clinic for their 
special medical care: Dr. Bruce Guidry, Dr. Brian Metherne, Dr. Nicole McKee 
and Dr. Andre Guidry. Gratitude is also expressed to the administrators and 
staff of The Oaks of Houma for their excellent care.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
