He was 80 years old and a retired communications technician. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home conducted by the Rev. Mike Robertson, with burial in Hope Haven Garden of Memory Cemetery in Gonzales. He is survived by his wife, Daisy Brown Riley; daughters and sons-in-laws, Nancy and Stacey LeBourgeois and Beth and Dewey Frederic Jr.; sons and daughters-in-law, Billy "Dean" Jr., and Libby Riley, Jeffery L. and Denise Riley, Christopher Drew Riley Sr., and Peter J. and Regina Riley; stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Angie and Melvin Kappel; stepsons and stepdaughter-in-law, Bennie Jr. and Dawn Bourg and George Bourg; 25 grandchildren; and 20 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Crocker Overton; father, George Alva Riley; three sisters; and four brothers. Pallbearers will be Steve Riley, Nick Riley, Chris Califf, Drew Riley Jr., Kale Frederic, Bennie Bourg III, Sgt. Clint Riley, and Nathan Califf. Honorary pallbearers will be Seaman Charles W. Riley, Reece Bourg, Stephen Kappel, Mathew Kappel, and Alex Rose. Bill was veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served with the 307th Air Refueling Squadron. He was the 1958 recipient of the Theodore N. Vail Award for Noteworthy Public Service, a Korean Service Medal, a United Nations Service Medal, and a National Defense Medal. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to St. Joseph Hospice, 10615 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70809 or to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America. Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales is in charge of arrangements. ======================
