Janice Ross, 63, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 3:30 p.m. 
Friday at Beth Israel Cemetery, 4321 Frenchmen Street in New Orleans.

She is survived by her beloved boyfriend, Gerry Dallman; daughter, Sherri 
Belanger Hernandez; sister, Judy Ross Michel; brother, Arnold Ross; grandson, 
Noah Hernandez; and many relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosalie Schild Ross; and son, Harlan 
Belanger Jr.

Janice was most recently living in what she considered to be her hometown, 
Metairie/New Orleans, although she spent much of her life in Houma. She 
graduated from Terrebonne High School and raised her children in the Lisa Park 
area. She enjoyed new adventures and consequently lived for brief times in 
Florida, Colorado and New York. She had a long and successful career as a 
secretary for various legal firms and most recently worked for Jones-Walker in 
downtown New Orleans.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to 
Compassionate Friends, Greater New Orleans Chapter (tcfneworleans.com) or M.D. 
Anderson Cancer Center (mdanderson.org/gifts).
