He was born Nov. 7, 1938, in Hollis, Okla. A memorial service celebrating his life will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Taylor Brothers Funeral Home in Bay City, Texas, with the Rev. James Ramsey officiating. He is survived by his wife of more than 50 years, Lula "Tomi" Nixon Savage, of Blessing, Texas; daughters, Patricia Smith and Joe Toria and Monya Richard, all of Blessing, Texas; son, Clay Savage and Becky, of Columbia, Miss.; sister, Brenda Miller and Kerry, of Kingsland, Texas; grandchildren, Sabrina Boone, Barry Robinson, Ronny Smith, Taffany McCartney, Travis Beauvais, Tommy Smith, Cassie Clement, Claylee Clement Jr., David Livingston and Steven Livingston; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Margaret Weaver Savage. He retired from South Texas Project. Taylor Brothers Funeral Home in Bay City, Texas is in charge of arrangements. ======================
