Laura Guidry Toups, 96, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died Tuesday, May 
7, 2013.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Joseph Co-
Cathedral. A Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Saturday at the church, 

with burial in St. Joseph Co-Cathedral cemetery.

She is survived by her daughters, Sylvia Toups, Debra Mills, Beryl Sullivan, 
and Connie and husband, Mark Durocher; brothers, E.J. Guidry and Earl Guidry; 
sister, Dorothy Caillouet; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four 
great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland D. Toups; parents, Sidney and 
Laura Ledet Guidry Sr.; daughter, Shirley Toups LeBlanc; grandchild, Terry 
"Toot" LeBlanc; sons-in-law, Frances "Frog" LeBlanc and William "Sully" 
Sullivan; brothers, Clebert, Lester, Prosper and Sidney Guidry Jr.; sisters, 
Edith Adams, Mabel Bergeron, Bessie Gaudet, Odette Bergeron, Iver Gros and 
Heloise Guidry.

Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux, is in charge of arrangements.
