Mildred Trosclair, 87, a native of Raceland and resident of Houma, died at 3:50 
a.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 
a.m. until funeral time Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church. A Mass of 
Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, 

with burial in Holy Family Catholic Church cemetery.

She is survived by her son, Johnny J. Trosclair Jr., of Bourg; daughter, Lolita 
Neil, of Dulac; grandchildren, Jereme, Chad, Jason, Jade and Holly Trosclair, 
Terry Neil Jr., Kelly, Jacob, Kayla and Eve Fabre, Monique Fabre Wesley and 
Chase Falcon; great-grandchildren, Austin, Chad, Kristi, Mikko and Kai 
Trosclair, Darren, Dustin, Dillon and Daniel Fabre, Alexus Eschete, Hayley 
Dubois, Madison Couvillon, Hunter Wesley, Serenity Neil, Ariel Arlie and Aaron 
Falcon; and many special family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Trosclair; parents, Sylvan and 
Florida Blanchard; daughter, Rosetta Trosclair Fabre; brothers, Hilary 
Blanchard; sisters, Melva Kreamer and Velma Pellegrin; and grandchildren, 
Steven Neil and Carla Fabre.

She was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church and Annunziata Catholic 
Church.

She loved to help people and had a wonderful love of education. She had a love 
of Native American people and their culture.

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
