She had been a resident of Baytown, Texas, for the last four years, in order to be close to her daughter. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church cemetery in Thibodaux. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Kenneth Naiser, of Baytown, Texas; grandchildren, Teresa and Terry Tyson Jr., of Baytown, Texas, and Lisa and Jeff Capps, of College Station, Texas; great-grandchildren, Sean and Sarah Bridges, of Gustine, Texas, Hilary and Kenneth Davis, of Nashville, Tenn., Jeremy Capps, of College Station, Texas, and Katherine Tyson and Brannan Tyson, of Baytown, Texas; great-great-granddaughter, Abigail Bridges, of Gustine, Texas; brothers, Chester Mire, Maurice Mire, Charles Alfred Matirne and Dr. C. C. Matirne; sister, Dorothy Matirne Clausen; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph "Minos" Barrilleaux; parents, Louis and Anastasia Roger Mire; foster parents, Charles C. and Elise Guillot Matirne; brothers, Leonard Mire and Dennis Matirne; sisters, Pauline Mire Moore, Edoline Mire Brown and Cecile Mire LaFont. Blanche was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, St. John the Evangelist Ladies Altar Society, and the American Legion Auxiliary of Labadieville Unit No. 284. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, her generosity and helping others, her caring and compassionate nature, her unconditional love for her family and friends, her creative talent for sewing and cooking, but most of all, the example she set for others as she lived her life to serve her heavenly Father. Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Tyson Jr., Jeff Capps, Sean Bridges, Jeremy Capps, Brian Clausen and Randy Mire.
