Michael J. "Skinback" Blanchard, 51, a native and resident of Labadieville, 
died Monday, June 10, 2013.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Landry's Funeral Home in 
Labadieville, and from 10 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Philomena 
Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the 
church, 

with burial in St. Philomena Catholic Church cemetery.

He is survived by his sons, Derek Blanchard and wife, Zureidah "Zee," and Nick 
Blanchard; brothers, Nolan "Pete" Blanchard and wife, Bonnie, Roy Blanchard Jr. 
and Sadie, and Jesse Blanchard; sisters, Barbara "Bobbi" Clement, Rosie 
Scorsone and husband, Tom, Janet Felix, Hazel Lawless and husband, Matthew 
"Matt," and Laura B. Medina and husband, Tony; granddaughter, Nadya Blanchard; 
and numerous nieces and grandnieces, nephews and grandnephews, and godchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy J. Blanchard Sr. and Irene 
Rodrigue Blanchard; brothers-in-law, Larry Clement and Mike Felix; sister, 
Joyce Barber; and nephew, Anthony Clement.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to assist with 
funeral expenses.

Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
