Fred Chenier, Sr., 75, a native and resident of Vacherie, passed away 
Wednesday, June 19, 2013.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Our Lady of Peace 
Catholic Church in Vacherie. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. 
Friday at the church, 

with burial in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church cemetery in Vacherie.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ella Chenier; daughter, Pearl LeCompte 
and companion, Julius Falgoust; sons, Fred Jr. and wife, Charlotte, and Randall 
and wife, Julie; grandchildren, Kevin, Joshua, Christina, Nicholas and Wesley; 
step-grandson, Harold Falgoust; sister, Peggy Barilleaux and husband, Donald; 
and brothers, Jessie Chenier and wife, Mary, Elton Chenier and wife, Brenda, 
and Lou Gary Chenier and wife, Evelyn.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carmen Chenier; son-in-law, Dale 
LeCompte; parents, Gustave and Sinodie F. Chenier; and brother, James Chenier 
Sr.

He was a retired employee of Avondale shipyard.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
