Sherry R. Cheramie, 70, a native and resident of Galliano, passed away Friday, 
June 21, 2013.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Our Lady of 
Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow. A Mass of Christian burial will 
be at noon Wednesday at the church, 

with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Galliano.

She is survived by her son, Scotty Cheramie; granddaughter, Morgan Cheramie; 
sister, Neva Leonard; and half-sister, Mrs. Hubert Lafont.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Joseph Cheramie; her parents, 
Leneas Rousse and Edna Lombas Rousse; and brother Irwin Rousse.

She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter and going to casinos. She was 
an active member of numerous veterans organizations in honor of her husband.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
