He was born September 30, 1933. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at First Assembly of God Church in Thibodaux and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at the church. Funeral services will be at noon Wednesday at the church, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux. He is survived by his wife, Amy Coupel Diez; sons, Rickey Diez and spouse, Peggy, Fremin Diez, Greg Diez and spouse, Brenda Gauthreaux Diez; daughter, Sandra Diez Trosclair and spouse, Danny Trosclair; sister, Norma Daigle; grandchildren, Mickey Diez, Amanda Diez Benoit, Alison Diez Boudreaux, Wendy Trosclair Adams, Brent Trosclair and Hunter Trosclair; and great-grandchildren, Owen Boudreaux, Austin Benoit and Jackson Adams. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred James Diez Sr. and Annie Cassard Diez; son, Brent Diez; brothers, Whitney Diez and Willie Diez; and sister, Mary Lee Medine. He was the owner of Pope's For Parts and a member of numerous business organizations. He was a former president of the Lafourche Parish Water District, and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ======================
