Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Griffin Doiron, of Houma; son, Gerald "Jerry" Doiron Jr., of Houma; daughters, Becky Blanchard and husband, Joe, of Houma, Brenda Doiron, of Houma, Beth McNamara and husband, Barry, of Houma, Bridget Lusco and husband, Santo "Speedy," of Raceland, and Amanda Falgoust and husband, Ross, of Chackbay; grandchildren, Danielle Doiron Leger, Brandon McNamara, Brent McNamara, Lauren Lusco, Tyler Lusco, Katelyn Falgoust and Carter Falgoust; great-grandchild, Braxton McNamara; brothers, Gene Doiron and Gregory Doiron Sr.; sisters, Barbara Greneaux, Faye Bourgeois and Linda Hebert; and mother-in-law, Mildred "Temae" Tauzin Griffin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton Doiron Sr. and Marguerite Bethancourt Doiron; and brothers, Clayton "Pete" Doiron and Michael Doiron Sr. Gerald was the owner of Doiron's T.V. Sales and Service for 50 years. He was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. He was the first to receive the Bishop Schexnayder Award while attending St. Francis de Sales School. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and playing drums and piano. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial Masses be said in his honor. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ======================
