Sisca "Cookie Mama" "Nanu" Adams Duet, 96, a native of Galliano and resident of 
Cut Off, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut 
Off, 

with burial in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.

She is survived by her daughters, Kate (Jack) Grammer, Mary Ann (Ronald Sr.) 
Helmer, Joan (Charles) Guidry and Linda (Chester) Lefort; brother, Nolan Adams; 
sisters, Gloria Vegas and Dolores Chiquet; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-
grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edison Duet; parents, Jules and 
Mercedes Gisclair Adams; grandchildren, Rachael Coke, Corey Guidry and 
Jacquelene Grammer; daughters, Noemie Duet and Rita (Roger Sr.) Blanchard; 
great-grandchildren, Tracy Cantrelle and Coen Canada; and sisters, Olivia 
Pitre, Flavia Vegas and Florieda Parra.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
