DUFRENE, HOWARD 

Howard J. Dufrene, 74, a native and resident of Gheens, died Monday, June 24, 
2013.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday at St. Anthony 
Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the 
church, 

with burial in St. Hilary of Poitiers Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rosita B. Dufrene; sons, Scott Dufrene, 
Bryan (Rachel) Dufrene, Danny (Rachel) Dufrene, and John (Desiree) Dufrene; 
daughter, Staci Dufrene; brothers, Herman, Harold, and Jesse Dufrene Jr.; 
sisters, Marion D. Walton and Janet D. Chiasson; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Sr. and Eva Dufrene; brother, 
Edmond Dufrene; and sister, Mona Fonseca.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
