EARL, JOHN 

John David “Johnny” Earl, 63, of Cut Off, passed away on June 4, 2013 in Kansas 
City, Kan.

Graveside services will be Friday, June 14, at 10 a.m. at Corinth Baptist 
Church Cemetery in Purvis.

Mr. Earl served in the United States Army in Germany as a Chaplain’s assistant. 
He was a past employee of Southern Guard Service and retired last year from the 
Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Bounds Earl.

He is survived by his father, David E. Earl of Benton, Ark.; two sisters, Sarah 
(Barney) Sikes of Benton, Ark., and Judy Roberson of Larose, La.; three 
nephews; two nieces; and a host of great nephews, nieces, and cousins.
