Ulysses J. "Monk" Eschete, 59, a native of Bayou Black and resident of Houma, 
died Sunday, June 23, 2013.

A memorial visitation will be from 11 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at the 
Masonic Unity Lodge No. 267 F and AM on Bayou Black Drive in Houma. Funeral 
services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the lodge.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years and mother of his children, Jeanie B. 
Eschete; daughters, April Eschete, of Sealy, Texas, Angie Eschete and Desireé 
Authement, of Schriever, and Ashley Eschete, of Schriever; grandchildren, Brent 
Eschete, Dustin and Derek Bergeron, and Destiny Breaux; brothers, Sidney, 
Justin and Edward Eschete Sr.; sisters, Avela Boudreaux and Brunella Guidry; 
and numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Josephine Domangue Eschete; 
brothers, Charles Eschete; and sister-in-law, Alice Duet Eschete.

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
