James Earl Ford, 74, a native of Batesville, Ark., and resident of Houma, died 
Wednesday, June 5, 2013.

Burial will be in Barnes Cemetery in Bethesda, Ark., at a later date.

He is survived by his son, James P. Ford and wife, Donna J. Ford; daughters, 
Lora Ford Kent and Heather Ford; grandchildren, Hallee Kent, Lexee Kent, Bryce 
Ford, Courtney Ford and Jennie Ford; and great-grandchildren, Maleeie Kent, 
Ry'lee Anderson, Anthony Kent and Noah Wissing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Alma Manning Ford; and 
daughter, Melinda Sue Rogers.

He was a longtime resident of Westwood Place Apartments.

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
