It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Lucia Ann Borne 
Griffin, 56, announces her passing on Monday, June 24, 2013. She was born July 
28, 1956.

At the request of the family, visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time 
Thursday at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte. Funeral services will be at 
2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Bro. Jerry Griffin officiating 
services.

A loving wife, daughter-in-law, sister, and niece, Lucia will be dearly missed 
by her husband, Carl Griffin, of St. Landry; mother-in-law, Dorita Dardar, of 
Cut Off; brothers T-John Borne and wife, Gladys Ann, of Anahuac, Texas, and 
Jade Borne and John Dobbins, of Dallas, Texas; sisters Robin Ray and husband, 
Lester, and Anna Hulsey and husband, Richard, all of Anahuac, Texas; special 
aunt and uncle, Bo-Boy and Peggy Borne, of Cut Off; and aunts, Bertha Griffin, 
of Cut Off, and Bernice Doucet, of Golden Meadow. Her memory will also be 
cherished by a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, other loved ones and 
friends.

Lucia was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny A. Borne Jr. and Beatrice T. 
Rogers; and aunts, Rose Bruce and Louanna Strickland.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the charity 
of your choice .

Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte is in charge of arrangements.
