Joseph Lee Johnson, 75, a native of New Orleans and resident of Gibson, died 
Thursday, May 30, 2013.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Triumph Baptist 
Church in Gibson. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, 

with burial in Triumph Baptist Church cemetery in Gibson.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Johnson, of Houston, Texas; son, Irving 
Pete, of Lake Charles; brother, August Johnson, of New Orleans; sisters, Hilda 
Washington, of Gibson, and Essie (Elijah Sr.) Johnson, of South Carolina; two 
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth Butler Johnson and Andrew 
Johnson Sr.; brothers, Andrew Johnson Jr., Alexander Johnson Sr. and John 
Johnson Sr.; and sister, Eula Carter.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
