Thomas Martin, 81, a native of Paincourtville and resident of Convent, died 
Saturday, June 8, 2013.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m Wednesday at Williams and Southall Funeral 
Home in Napoleonville and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at St. 
Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Convent. A Mass of Christian burial 
will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. 

Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Port Hudson National Cemetery with full 
military honors.

He is survived by his daughters, Toni Freeman, Gretchen Trimble, Yvette 
(Dwayne) Smith and Shellie (Allen) Jones; son, Thomas Martin III; sister, Anna 
Jones; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa LeBlanc Martin; daughter, Teschia 
Martin; and parents, Richard "Gus" Martin and Rebecca Davis Martin.

He was a retired U.S. Air Force veteran of 23 years.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville is in charge of 
arrangements.
