MEHALIK, THOMAS 

Thomas Mehalik, 82, a native of Carbon, Penn., and resident of Schriever, died 
at 5 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2013.

No services are planned at this time. 

His body was donated to LSU.

He is survived by his wife, Claire Moreau Mehalik; and son-in-law, Carl Wilcox.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Martha Mehalik Wilcox; parents; 
brothers; and sisters.

He was a mechanic and jack of all trades. 

He was a U.S. Army veteran 

and a member of American Legion Post No. 31.

The family would like to thank Dr. Laura Campbell for her excellent care. Also 
thanks goes to the staff of the Hospice of South Louisiana with special thanks 
to Grace, Elinor and Ray.
