Henry "Junior" Perez Jr., 79, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, passed 
away Saturday, June 1, 2013.

Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. Tuesday at Falgout Funeral Home and from 
9 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic 
Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, 

with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mercedes "Ann" Duplantis Perez; son, 
Kurt Perez Sr.; daughter, Juliet Perez Callais and husband, Eddie; brother, 
Eldon Lafont Sr.; four grandchildren, Denise and Jessica Duet, Kurt "T-Kurt" 
Perez Jr. and Joboa Verdin; six great-grandchildren, Noah and Ryan Laird, 
Braden and Brianna Perez, and Savyn and Praislyn Verdin; and four godchildren, 
Jackie Boudoin, Perry Lafont, Roy McCall, and Donald Gaspard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howell Lafont, Eliska Callais, Lucille 
Callais Perez, and Henry Perez Sr.; brother, Dudley Perez Sr.; and sisters, 
Vesta Gaspard and Juelliet Perez.

Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
