Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Mt. Airy Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral at Mt. Airy Baptist Church, 13635 Old Spanish Trail in Boutte, at 11 a.m. Saturday. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Memorial Park Cemetery in Boutte. Pastor John H. Vaultz will officiate. He was the son of the late Rev. Dock and Elizabeth Pollard; husband of Delores S. H. Pollard; father of Jane (Clark) Kennedy, Stephanie (Willie) Neal, Elizabeth (Joe) Drone, Christine Hill, James Edward Pollard Jr., Ernest (Diane) Pollard, Broderick Pollard, Dennis Hill, Dean (Marsha) Hill and the late Bridgette Hill and Melvin W. Hill Jr.; brother of Ernest (Renee) Pollard, John (Louise) Pollard, the Rev. Calvin (Lena) Pollard, Joseph (Joann) Pollard, Albert (Leotha) Pollard, Theresa (Van) Vessell, Viola (Ike) Adams, Jane P. Jefferson and the late Alfred Pollard; brother-in-law of Olister (James) Hardy; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
