Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2013/f1306.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Melvin Eugene Simoneaux III, 32, a native of Franklin and resident of Centerville for 17 years, passed away at his home, Thursday, June 13, 2013. He was born Oct. 8, 1980. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin with the rosary being recited at 7 p.m. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Centerville. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Charles Langlois as celebrant and the Rev. Ruben Primor as con-celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Church cemetery in Centerville. He is survived by his wife of three years, Jennie Comeaux Simoneaux; their six- month-old son, Luke Eugene Simoneaux; his parents, Melvin Eugene Simoneaux Jr. and Jeannine Bernauer Simoneaux; brother, Joey Simoneaux and his wife, Ashley and their children, Emory and Oliver Simoneaux; his father and mother-in-law, Tommy and Janell Fournier Comeaux; brother-in-law, Sean Comeaux and wife, Megan, and their daughter, Alison Guidroz; maternal grandmother, Marlene Dupuis Burns; paternal grandparents, Melvin Simoneaux Sr. and Theresa Bourliea Simoneaux; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Oliver Joseph Bernauer Jr.; and his maternal step-grandfather, Ernest Burns. Melvin was a devoted husband and father and was an avid outdoorsman. He was an aviation mechanic for the past 12 years, working with various companies including Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Dallas Air Motive, Roto Craft Leasing, and currently for PHI in Houma. Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin is in charge of arrangements. ======================
