Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at Garden of Memories Funeral Home at 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m.Thursday at the funeral home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Solito; mother of Jodi Solito and Brian Solito; daughter of the late Bernard Gaillot Sr. and Ruth Gaillot; sister of Thais (Chris) Cimo, Beryl (the late Harold) Gallagher, Jacquelyn (Victor) Bruno, the late Bernard Gaillot Sr., Raymond Gaillot, William Gaillot, Donald Gaillot, Martin Gaillot, Mary Ellen Gaillot and Adrianne Gaillot; sister-in-law of the late Salvador Solito, Rose Solito Davis, Frances Solito Rutledge and Marie Solito Clomburg; grandmother of Brandon Bowman and Adriana Bowman; great- grandmother of Rallie Bowman; and the aunt of a host of nieces and nephews. She was a resident of Metairie for the past 17 years and previously lived in Houma where she owned and operated Houma Office Equipment and Supply with her husband. She was a graduate of Roubin High School and excelled in sewing and making clothes for her children. She was also a member of the Lions Club in Houma and Kenner. The family would like to express their thanks for the loving care she received from Colonial Oaks Nursing Home and also give many thanks to Hospice Compassus. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the American Lung Association , 2325 Severn Avenue, Suite 8, Metairie, LA 70001.
