Leona "Poopie" Thibodaux, 70, native and resident of Thibodaux, died Monday, 
June 10, 2013. She was born July 24, 1942.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Thibodaux Funeral Home and 
from 8 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church 
in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the 
church, 

with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny P. Thibodaux; sons, Leslie P. Thibodaux 
and wife, Melissa, and Jeffrey J. Thibodaux Sr. and wife, Patricia; sisters, 
Sally Gros, Katherine Himel, and Gloria Lambert; and grandchildren, Johnny 
Paul, Andrew, Jeff Jr., Jessica and Blake.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nolan and Leona Toups; brothers, 
Wilton "T-Red" Toups, Junius "Juno" Toups and Leo Toups; sister, Nellie Marie 
Dufrene; and son, Daniel "Ace Man" Thibodaux.
She was a parishioner and Eucharistic minister at Christ the Redeemer Catholic 
Church.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
