She was a native and resident of Houma. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from 9:00am to 11:00am at First United Methodist Church Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 11:00am at First United Methodist Church. Burial: Bayou Black Cemetery. She is survived by her son, Gordon Antill, Jr. and his wife Carol of Gibson, her daughter,Peggy Antill Bowers and her husband Robert of Houma. She was the loving grandmother of Lesley Antill Hornigold and her husband Mike of Georgia, Justin Doiron of Houma, Clinton Doiron and his wife Berit of Berlin, Germany, Margeaux Doiron Verdin and her husband Maxie of Gibson, LA. She was also the loving great grandmother of Christianna, Porter, Megan, Bailey, and Adilyn. She is survived by her 3 sisters, Marion Portier Wunstell, Alice Portier Duplantis, Mary Portier Pellegrin and 3 brothers, Jerry Portier, Daniel Portier, and Phillip Portier. She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon Paul Antill, Sr. both her parents, Leonce and Haydee Portier, 4 of her brothers, Leonce Portier Jr., Donald Portier, Charles Portier, and Fay Portier and one sister, Betty Portier Anselmi. She was employed for many years as an elementary school teacher. Her favorite pastimes activities were working in her flower gardens and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a long time supporter of the Bayouland YMCA and the First United Methodist Church. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank Haydel Hospice and The Suites at Sugar Mill Pointe of Houma.
