Douglas Anthony Authement Sr., 62, a native of Houma and resident of Montegut, 
died Thursday, July 4, 2013.

Visitation was from 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday, July 9 at Samart Funeral 
Home in Houma. Funeral services was at noon Tuesday at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Guillot Authement; sons, Douglas Authement 
Jr. and wife, Betty, David Authement and companion, Elizabeth Bourg, Brandon 
Authement and wife, April, Dylan Authement, and Johnny Authement and wife, 
Tonia; daughters, Belinda Theriot and husband, Artie, Amanda Authement, 
Adrienne Authement, and Joann Evelyn; brothers, Dudley Authement and wife, 
Susan, Clarence Authement Jr. and wife, Loretta, and Myron Authement and wife, 
Tammy; sister, Darlene Guidry and husband, Gordon; 22 grandchildren, Annette, 
Douglas III, Trent, Kathy and Hannah, David II and Kaitaline, Cody, Mariah and 
Alyssa, Brock, Gabrielle, Noah, Brayden, Jeramy, Chelsea, Elizabeth, Skyler, 
Dion Jr., Chasity, Shaterra, and Nakesha; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Authement Sr.; mother, Pearly 
White; and brother, Byron Authement.
