Gloria Zeringue Ayo, 81, a native and resident of Houma, died at 8:45 p.m. 
Friday, July 12, 2013.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at St. Bernadette 
Soubirous Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday 
at the church, 

with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

She is survived by her sons, Samuel Paul Ayo and wife, Susan, and Dwayne Ayo; 
daughters, Karen Ayo Ellender and husband, Kenneth, Gayle Marie Ayo, and Terri 
Ayo Toups and husband, Garry; grandchildren, Krissy Hightower, Lindsay 
Ellender, Landon Ellender, Blake Toups, and Brennan Toups; two great-
grandchildren; and brother, Clifton Zeringue.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Lezin Ayo; daughter, Pamela 
Faye Ayo; parents, Alphonse Abel Zeringue and Annette Pitre Zeringue; brothers, 
Simon, Norman, Alphonse, Raymond, and Ernest Zeringue; and sisters, Viola 
Bourgeois, Bessie Moore, and Bertha Barras.

She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the American 
Cancer Society .

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
