BAKER: EDISON J. "BOOYA" BAKER, SR., a retired cook offshore, died Tuesday, 
July 16, 2013 at his residence in Thibodaux, LA. 

He was 71, and a native of Thibodaux, LA. 

Visiting at St. Luke Catholic Church from 9:00am to the Mass of Chrisitian 
Burial at 11:00am, Monday, July 20, 2013. 

Burial in St. Luke Catholic Church cemetery in Thibodaux, LA. 

Survived by his wife, Adelle J. Baker of Napoleonville, LA; 3 daughters, 
Suzanne Baker and Kendra Duncan of Thibodaux, LA, and Danna Baker of Baldwin, 
LA; 2 sons, Edison Baker, Jr., and Malcolm J. Baker of Thibodaux, LA; 2 
sisters, Gloria Thompson of Columbia, SC, and Victoria Beo of Houma, LA; Also 
survived by 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, 
nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Preceded in death by his parents, Emilke and Lula Johnson Baker; 3 sisters, 
Geraldine Wright, Patrick Oubre, and Josephine Jones; 4 brothers, Norman 
Southall, Edward, Clyde, and Felton Baker. Arrangements by Williams & Southall 
Funeral Home, Thibodaux, LA
