Raoul Joseph "Yockey" Bernard, 86, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died 
Saturday, July 13, 2013.

A memorial mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Genevieve Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Beth Steiner Bernard; sons, Douglas and 
wife, Joan, Stephen and wife, Jane, Bob and wife, Kitty, Michael and wife, 
Adeline, Matthew and wife, Michelle, and Adrian and wife, Nancy; daughters, 
Betsy Roques and husband, John, and Susan Callahan and husband, Mike; 17 
grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Raoul "Rox" and Elda Clement Bernard; 
sisters, Verna Clause, Mim Clause, Lucy Brown, Ida Bernard, and Dot Caillouet; 
and brothers, Major Junior Bernard and Wilbert "Doodie" Bernard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Genevieve 
Elementary School or E.D. White Catholic High School.

Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
