BURNS, THERESE 

Funeral services for Therese’ Marguerite Chouest Burns, 88, of Natchez, passed 
away on July 20, 2013 at 11 a.m.

Services will be held on Tuesday, July 23 at St. Mary Basilica. Burial will 
follow at Natchez City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 22 at St. Mary 
Basilica and 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 23 until service time.

She was the daughter of Euzebe “Neb” Chouest and Annette Ordoyne Chouest; wife 
of Peter Burns, Sr.

She was preceded in death by husband of 66 years, Peter Theophile Burns, Sr. 
and sister, Elsie Chouest.

She is survived by children, daughters, Annette Burns and husband Charles, Ann 
Shaidnagle and husband James, Melanie Kennedy and husband Rick; sons, Parnell 
Burns, Peter Burns Jr. and wife Diane, John Burns and Michael McGehee, David 
Burns and wife Shirley, Paul Burns and wife Laura; numerous grandchildren and 
great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; siblings, Hazel Faulk; sisters 
in law, Ann Elizabeth B. Garrity, Alice W. Burns; as well as numerous nieces 
and nephews.
