Joyce Marie Chauvin, 70, a native of Houma and resident of Chauvin, died 
Tuesday, July 2, 2013.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Joseph's 
Catholic Church in Chauvin. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. 
Saturday at the church, 

with burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Milfred Anthony Chauvin; daughter, Shelley 
Chauvin and companion, Graig LeBlanc; brother, Wilson "Joey" Porticer and wife, 
Debbie; brothers-in-law, Richard Chauvin and wife, Linda, Donald Chauvin and 
wife, Theresa, and Horace Chauvin; sister, Mary Jane Guidry and husband, 
Aubrey; sister-in-law, Jeanie Chauvin; grandchildren, Willie Henderson, and 
Neil Chauvin and fiancee, Fallon Ellender; and great-grandchild, Danny Lee 
Chauvin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cyrus Lecompte and Annette Lecompte 
Porticer; and stepfather, Wilson Porticer.

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
