Chauvin, 74, a native of Raceland and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away Monday, July 1, 2013, at the Carpenter House. No services are planned at this time. She is survived by her son, David K. Chauvin Jr. and wife, Nicole; grandsons, David K. Chauvin III, and Cole and Cameron Kennedy; and brother, Sidney "Billy" J. Daigle Jr. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nora Soignet Gaudet; and father, Sidney J. Daigle Sr. She was a retired teacher from Terrebonne, Lafourche and East Baton Rouge parishes. She loved teaching and being a mentor to the ones she taught, and she strived to make them each feel special. She was also an avid LSU, fan especially basketball. She was a graduate of LSU and Nichols State University. She was a wonderful woman who will be missed greatly by all whose lives she touched. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to Christ the King Catholic Church on the LSU campus, 11 Fraternity Lane, Baton Rouge, LA 70803. Wilbert Funeral Home in Plaquemine is in charge of arrangements. ======================
