Irey Anthony Domangue, 81, a native and resident of Chauvin, died Saturday, 
July 6, 2013.

Visitation was from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, July 8 at Samart Funeral Home and from 
9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday, July 9 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in 
Chauvin. A Mass of Christian burial was at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 9 at the 
church, 

with burial in St. Joseph's Catholic Church cemetery in Chauvin.

He is survived by his son, Whalen Domangue and wife, Susan; daughter, Melissa 
Collins and husband, Joe; brothers, Aswell, Shaffer Jr., Eural, Mark, and 
Ranzell Domangue; grandchildren, Cory, Jason, Erin, and Lorin; and great-
grandchildren, Natalee, Kamryn, Jared Jr., Janson, and Colin.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Viley Chauvin Domangue; parents, Shaffer 
Sr. and Alice Lapeyrouse Domangue; brother, Ewade Domangue; and sister, Rena 
Blanchard.
