Harold Windfield Fleming Jr. passed from this life Sunday, July 7, 2013, following a brief illness. He was 53. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Gray, with burial in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Gray. He is survived by his sister, Sherri E. Fleming; and two nephews, Trey Cameron Moore and Travis Michael Moore, all of Austin, Texas; several devoted aunts, including Barbara Fleming, of Thibodaux, Lenora Stevenson, of Gray, and Isadora DelaHoussaye, of Los Angeles, Calif.; and a host of uncles, cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Clarence and Bernadine Fleming, and John and Ethel Batiste; and foster-grandparents, Geneva and Elwood Gaines. Harold was born in Thibodaux, and was the son of the late Harold W. Fleming Sr., and Dolores Batiste Fleming. He was reared in New Orleans, where he attended Orleans Parish Schools. He graduated in 1978 from Thibodaux High School in Thibodaux. He also attended Delgado Community College in New Orleans. He worked diligently building a career in the hospitality industry for more than 25 years, and worked at numerous restaurants, hotels and casinos in New Orleans, Bay St. Louis and Gulfport, Miss. At the time of his death, he was employed by the Delaware North Company in Austin, Texas. Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home in Austin, Texas, is in charge of arrangements. ======================
