William J. "Bill" Guillot Sr., of Gretna passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian burial from Westside Leitz-Eagan, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero at 11 a.m. Friday. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum in Westwego. Bill was the loving husband of Deanna D. Guillot. He was the devoted father of Marlene Guillot, William J. Guillot Jr. (Annette), Craig J. Guillot (Jeanette), Melanie Thome (Steve), Monica English (Dale), Cindy F. Brown (Lloyd), Lisa A. Ford (Al), Jill Guillot (Joey), Dalton J. Guillot, Logan S. Pomeroy, and the late Caldon J. Ford III. He was the grandfather of 14, as well as the great-grandfather of 14. He was also survived by one sister, Millie Pitre. Bill worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for most of his life. He was a native of Thibodaux and was a resident of the Westbank for more than 50 years. He was a U.S Army Veteran of the Korean War. Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home in Marrero is in charge of arrangements. ======================
