Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial at a later date. She is survived by her husband, Michael A. Harris, of Houma; son, Jody Adam and wife, Dot; daughters, June Bass and husband, Bob, and Karen Adam; grandchildren, Belinda Bass, Ross Adam, Robert Bass Jr., Kassi Ballard and Austin Adam; great-grandchildren, Morgan and Gracie Ballard and Asher Bass; sister, Verdie T. Arnold; and numerous godchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Valsin Trahan and Marie Ophelia Lantier Trahan; son, Keith S. Adam; and siblings, Lucille Hargrove, Marie Santiny, Bertha Pepper, Elson Trahan Sr., Lula Mae Stevens and Nelson Trahan. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She worked for Michael, her husband, while he was Mayor of Grand Isle and followed him when he opened his own business in construction, GIMCO. She was a fantastic wife, mother and friend. She could be the best confidant anyone could ask for and she always took in strays, some animals and also a child. She was a strict mother but all of her children are grateful for the way she raised them to the time of her death. She was a great mother-in-law and Nanny, never interfering but always there if help was needed. She will be greatly and sadly missed by everyone who knew her, but they will all have wonderful and great memories of her involvement in their lives. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ======================
